Abstract

This study explores student perceptions of public relations majors at Eastern Kentucky University. Past research conducted on similar subjects found that students’ academic major selections were determined by family, peers, and society and therefore influenced how students view majors outside of their own. Our study focuses on how students outside the public relations major compared overall difficulty of their major, course projects and tests through convenience and snowball sampling. The results indicated that students outside of public relations perceived their own majors to be more difficult.
