Abstract

For U.S. Art History, Dr. Gay Sweely assigned a project for the UP Showcase. The task for the class was to discover historical facts concerning various buildings around EKU’s campus. After discovering information about the history of each building structure itself (following a visit to EKU’s Archives in the Library for our research and abstract, the class had to create an artwork dignifying that particular building we researched. In order to best express the beauty and structure of the Weaver Health Building, I created a painting.
