Abstract

This article addresses the urgent need for school counselors to acquire additional cultural competence skills for working with culturally diverse school students. Behavior and disciplinary problems are increasing in many school districts across the United States. Both urban and rural districts are having similar problems with individual students displaying disruptive behavior in schools. This article discusses the actors that causes behavior problem among culturally diverse students and offers recommendations or addressing these problems.
