Abstract

Mark Smith faces his own discontent as he prepares to have his first child with his wife Kat. Internally, his narcissistic mind, masked by his toxic masculinity, bounces back and forth in time from his own familial dysfunction during his childhood, as well as family secrets that informs his worldview and fears of fatherhood. It isn’t until Mark meets the illusive artist and entrepreneur Julian Galster when Mark feels compelled to explore parts of himself he has been aware of but never fully understood.
