Abstract
Improve access to manuscript collections by enhancing the metadata based on actual search terms used using Google Analytics. Search terms with no hits were analyzed and added to collections in our archive relating to the term. In some cases this was done through the addition of subject headings and in some cases language was added to the scope and content note to include specific wording, such as ‘westward expansion.” In other cases it was a matter of standardizing names and adding name variants.
