Abstract
Students are becoming more common as representatives on boards, councils, and committees within the higher education governing structure. As a former student representative, I compiled my experiences with those of other student representatives and administrators to assess the obstacles that students are facing in university governance. After comparing the results suggestions were made to improve the difficulties that both students and administrators are experiencing.
