Abstract
This study examines Association of College Honors Societies-certified honors societies on Eastern Kentucky University’s campus in order to gain an understanding of their member requirements, organizational purpose, and contributions to both members and non-members in the immediate community. The study explores how well honors societies fulfill their purposes and the degree to which ACHS successfully achieves its mission. These findings also provide a student’s external perception of the general effectiveness of honors societies. Results are described, and practical implications are discussed.
