Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to review current studies regarding the positive effects of mindfulness meditation on people living with schizophrenia. The studies reviewed in this paper are valid because they have shown that meditation is a beneficial method of treatment to alleviate certain symptoms of schizophrenia. Further research should continue to investigate the connection between schizophrenia and meditation since the majority of existing studies focus on the connection between anxiety and mood disorders with meditation.
