Abstract

Catholicism is declining in modern day Ireland, from the late 1990’s to present day. Ireland, which used to be a stronghold in the Catholic faith, is now becoming secular. Catholicism in modern day Ireland is declining and secularization is being intensified because of sex scandals, abuse of power, loss of political power, and liberal political ideals.
