Abstract
This thesis was written after doing extensive research on the United Nation Electoral Process Division. The essay is an in-depth look at four electoral missions (Mozambique, El Salvador, Angola, and Cambodia). Two of these cases are considered successes, and two are believed by me to be blunders. This paper was written as a case study with an analysis at the end. Sources that were used for conducting research were academic journals and opinions by eye witnesses who were involved in the peacekeeping missions in the four countries listed above. I would like to thank my mentor, Dr. Greg Gunderson, for his help on the project.
