Abstract
This research explores the economic impact of the orchestra on the community, city, and state in which it resides. The impacts outside of the orchestra, such as food, housing, transportation, parking, etc. will be explored, as well as the internal effects that are made. These will explore the orchestra as a business, a tourist attraction, and image enhancement. The ways orchestras are working to increase their economic output will also be discussed along with the ways concertgoers can help as well.
