Abstract
This study will examine the overall trauma history of student veterans at Eastern Kentucky University. We will take a closer look at the veteran’s childhood to look for potential adverse childhood experiences (ACE). We will be conducting this study through a trauma questionnaire that will examine combat related trauma and ACEs as well as suicidal ideation. We expect to find that veterans with a history of ACEs will have more severe symptoms, specifically suicidal ideation, and this will lead us to believe that there is a strong correlation between ACEs, combat trauma, and a PTSD diagnosis.
