Abstract

The purpose of the intervention described in this paper is to provide guidance and support to help college students develop a personal tech-management strategy, so that they can reap the benefits and minimize the pitfalls of their personal technology use in class. Results presented suggested that this intervention can help students begin to develop a self-management strategy for their off-task tech use.

Author Biography

Steffen Wilson is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University. Her recent research focuses on university connectedness of college students. She is also a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Kentucky.

Brianna Williamson graduated with a Bachelors’ degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. She is currently the Program Assistant for the Department of Psychology, and she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services at EKU.
