Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify issues that are emerging for companies that sell oil and gasoline products on a smaller scale. Current trends show gas prices as dropping and maintaining a lower value for an extended period of time. We want to dive in and take an inside look at the effects the plunging prices have on different areas of the company. We will work with an upper management contact as well as a few other employees within the company to provide us with data that is going to help us complete our investigation. We will first analyze the company using several different techniques that will help give us targets to improve upon, techniques such as: SWOT analysis, Porters five forces, value chain analysis, and Pestel analysis just to name a few. Once we have conducted the several analysis models on our company we will then work with our company representative in applying what we have found and provide them with a report that outlines what the business is doing well in the current market and our opinion of what they should do differently given the current market trend of lower priced oil and gas. This research will help other similar sized oil and gasoline companies better their business by focusing on the beneficial aspects of the enterprise and perhaps suspending the nonprofit able aspects.
