Abstract
This is an entrepreneurship project. Our business idea is a BBQ restaurant located in Lexington, Kentucky. This business was formed by the father of group member Anthony Barrett. We would like to bring this type of BBQ to Kentucky because of the unique but still classic flavors used in all of the hickory smoked meats. This business idea highlights the following features:
- The main rule of the restaurant is “bite it before you spice it.” This refers to the typical behavior of people using sauce on their BBQ meats, as we will use plenty of the homemade rub on every meat during preparation. If people follow this rule, they will be sure to get a bite full of flavor without the need for sauce.
- This restaurant will also bring some unusual dishes to the table, like BBQ spaghetti, Cap’n Crunch French Toast, Bang Bang shrimp, and baked pulled pork mac and cheese. We will also bring the traditional dishes along for the ride as well.
- Another aspect of the place is a trip down memory lane by playing classic 60s, 70s, and 80s music in the background. With the addition of a friendly, personable management team to approach everyone that visits, we believe people will be more drawn our restaurant than others because of the friendly environment.
Conclusions
We feel that this restaurant would do well in the area and appeal to the BBQ lovers of the market, especially with the traditional BBQ connoisseur.
