Abstract
For our Scholars Day presentation, we aim to examine the relationship between health literacy and psychiatric hospital readmission rates in patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The poster will focus on a real-world patient encountered in the clinical setting, providing insights into their symptoms and experiences. Our methodology involves a review of the patient's case history and the comparison of the patient's symptoms with existing research findings. Additionally, we will explore strategies for implementing these findings into evidence-based nursing practice. While specific findings and conclusions are not available at this stage, our presentation will offer valuable insights into the intersection of health literacy and psychiatric care, with implications for improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital readmission rates.
