Abstract

Our project for Scholars Day involves the submission of a case study poster focusing on a real-world patient encountered in the clinical setting with impulsive control disorder (ICD). The primary aim of our study is to explore the correlation between ICD and traumatic childhood experiences. We plan to review the patient's clinical history and document observations made during the clinical encounter. Subsequently, we will compare these findings with existing literature pertaining to the subject matter. Lastly, through our case study poster presentation, we look forward to sharing our insights with fellow students and faculty in the hopes of increasing awareness of this condition and sparking conversations about the topic as well.
