Abstract

This poster presents initial data (n=18) gathered from EKU students who have undertaken occupational safety internships. Internships, also referred to as co-ops, are considered an element of experiential education and have been reported to offer substantial career advantages to students who complete them. Data presented consists of student interns’ ratings of 15 measures associated with their work experience, learning experience, and personal development from their internship. This study was adapted from Fender & Watson’s (2005) study of occupational safety and health interns at Murray State University. Accordingly, data presented here will allow for comparison between the two. EKU IRB Approval: 002116
