Abstract
Millennials will soon outstrip all other generations in the workforce and are upending the current business norms. Millennials are looking for meaning in their employment beyond the usual paycheck-to include perks such as community involvement and flexible scheduling. Business structures and hierarchies must adapt and change if they are to retain the workforce of millennials who are willing to change jobs in order to find greater fulfillment in their work lives. One significant way to alter the corporate structure to better accommodate millennial values is to deemphasize hierarchy and create a more open, authentic conversation between employees of all titles.
