Abstract
Although library anxiety, and the role of the library orientation in relieving it, is well documented in the literature, libraries today are facing a slightly different, yet still challenging, dilemma: more and more traditional college students now overestimate their research abilities because in large part, of the myth that "everything is online, so going to the campus library isn't that necessary anymore (Head, 2013). Because these digital natives have never known a world without the Internet, smartphones, and iPads, they have grown up under the fallacy that information is always free and easily accessible with the simple swipe of a finger or tap of a button.
