Abstract
The Elmwood Estate is located on Lancaster Avenue in Richmond, Kentucky. Its rich history and beautiful architecture give it abounding potential. Seeing this potential, Professor Barbara Wheeler, student Rebecca Seitz, and I, Nina Salazar, set out to create a database of information concerning fiber, paint, glass, and hair samples contained in the home. This database would not only serve as a resource to Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) when renovation plans move forward, but it would also give students now and in future years a glance at an application of forensic science procedures to a community situation.
