Eastern Kentucky University Libraries recently developed and implemented a new copyright policy for interlibrary loan that forgoes the outdated CONTU Guidelines or "Rule of Five" to more closely comply with Copyright Law and leverage Fair Use.
In this session, the presenters will discuss the inspiration behind abandoning CONTU, the process for obtaining approval from library and university stakeholders, and the impact of a new copyright policy on interlibrary loan workflows and collection development decisions.
