Abstract

While implementation of competency-based education (CBE) courses has grown significantly in the last two decades, adoption in teacher preparation programs is in its infancy. This paper examines the creation of CBE courses in teacher preparation, providing leaders in higher education with recommendations for considering this approach at their institutions.
