Abstract

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (2024) identifies “communication” as a required competency for a career-ready workforce. One crucial type of communication with clients or patients is the assessment interview. This paper discusses a strategy for teaching the durable skill of “Client/Patient Assessment Interviews” in hypothetical face-to-face classroom situations.
