Abstract
This essay presents a general overview of a blended basic course at a large Southeastern university and discusses rationale, course design, and lessons learned. Ultimately, this essay should serve as an encouragement to instructors to creatively reach unreached students and create an atmosphere of accessible communication instruction in the basic course.
