Online and Simulation Learning in Occupational Therapy Education
Introduction
Due to COVID-19, university instructors had to quickly revise their courses for online delivery in Spring 2020. Some faculty had extensive experience with online teaching, but others had limited experience and training to prepare them for this transition. Many fieldwork experiences were also interrupted, requiring creative solutions such as using simulation experiences for Level I fieldwork. Upcoming semesters will continue to incorporate many courses in online and hybrid formats; occupational therapy faculty must be prepared to teach effectively using these delivery methods to support student learning and to prepare competent practitioners. We hope you enjoy this special issue and that it helps to support your online teaching and use of simulation methods in the classroom.
